What is the Sacred Feminine School of Wisdom?
This is a repository of Goddess Wisdom that has accumulated and has been transmitted throughout the ages. It includes the many faces of the Goddess Mother Creatress through time and across cultures, such as Kuan Yin, Sophia, Yemaya, Butterfly Woman, White Buffalo Calf Woman and many other names by which the aspects of the Goddess are known.
It also includes the energies of the Sacred Feminine in the universe. I call them the Shakti Power. Envision the yin in the Yin-yang, the negative eons that spread after a storm, the right brain hemisphere, the negative charge in electricity, the wisdom of the heart (vs the wisdom of the mind) and you begin to get a sense of that Shakti force that is present in the dual dance of energies that creates and moves the universe. That is the Sacred Feminine. The other force is the Shiva force, the Sacred Masculine.
The Sacred Feminine School of Wisdom is part of the Collective Consciousness, especially of the female psyche. In this repository there exists the conscious energy of all the “faces” of the Goddess thru time and cultures; as well as the archetypal feminine wisdom and the consciousness of spiritual beings who may have been priestesses, spiritual teachers, shamans, saints or avatars in life.
These includes the Magdalene and Sophia consciousness as well as the elemental forces of Earth Mother, such as Gaea, Mother Ocean and others. It includes Goddesses such as Kuan Yin, Sarasvati, Kali, Yemaya, Ochun and Oya. Buffalo Calf Woman and Butterfly Woman speak here to, as do other Goddesses or Feminine Forces from many cultures.
The collective impact of this school is clearly felt once you learn to “plug” into it. I have been trained by this school of wisdom and I am constantly guided by it.
Moving against the Grain of Society to Move along your Organic Nature
However, plugging into the Sacred Feminine School of Wisdom requires conscious effort, trust in the Sacred Feminine within you ~even though you may not know exactly what it is or means~ and a community that will help nourish it.
The reason for the need for this support is that for centuries, and still right now most of the knowledge, definitions of success, power and fulfillment and the structures for the development of human beings has been dictated by the Sacred Masculine.
Since the last stone in the temple of the Goddess was demolished to build a God’s temple in its stead, the wisdom of women has gradually become invisible. Though it could not be destroyed; for it is a force of nature, it remains dormant in our psyche.
As a result, we have come to see the world in distorted, lopsided view. Only the Sacred Masculine definitions of power, structure and success have prevailed. When women have tried to empower themselves, they have been forced to use these definitions.
But these definitions are not organic to you as a woman. Power as control, aggressively pushing forward towards success and competition create stress in the female nervous system.
